Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of Love for Thrift, a local marketplace for antiques, vintage goods and second-hand finds in the Pittsburgh area. By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.

Who we are
Love for Thrift Marketplace is operated by Shibumi Enterprises LLC, 1930 Lincoln Hwy, North Versailles, PA 15137. You can reach us through the contact form or at loveforthrift@gmail.com.
Your account
You need an account to list an item, message someone or make an offer. Keep your password to yourself, give us accurate details, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to buy or sell here.
Community sales are between you and the other person
When a community seller lists an item, the sale is a private transaction between that seller and the buyer. Love for Thrift is not a party to it, does not handle the money, does not hold the item, and does not guarantee that either person will do what they said they would.
We do not inspect community listings and we do not warrant anything about them: not the condition, the authenticity, the legality, the description, the price, or the seller's right to sell it. Buyers and sellers arrange their own payment and their own meetup, and each is responsible for their own decisions. If something goes wrong in a community sale, the two people involved have to sort it out between them.
White Estate listings
Listings marked as coming from the White Estate are our own stock, sold directly by us for local pickup in the Pittsburgh area. For those, we are the seller. Items are sold as described and as pictured, second-hand, with no manufacturer's warranty.
Your listings
When you list something you agree that:
- You own the item, or you have the right to sell it.
- Your photos are of the actual item and you have the right to use them.
- Your description and price are accurate and not misleading.
- The item is not on our prohibited items list and is legal to sell in Pennsylvania.
- You will respond to people who message you about it.
You keep ownership of your listing content, and you give us permission to show it on the site, in search results and in links to your listing. We may remove or decline any listing that breaks these terms.
Meetups and safety
Meet in a public place, in daylight, and take someone with you if you can. Check the item before you pay. Never send money in advance to someone you have not met. Our safety tips explain the approach we recommend.
Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- List anything on the prohibited items list.
- Harass, threaten, defame or impersonate anyone.
- Post false, misleading or fraudulent listings.
- Use the site to send spam or to scrape other people’s data.
- Try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site.
- Circumvent a block, a suspension or any other decision we have made.
Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account, remove a listing, or block access to the site if we believe these terms have been broken, if we are required to by law, or to protect other users. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the marketplace, the listings on it, or any item bought through it, and we do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Love for Thrift is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost profits, or for anything arising out of a community sale between two users. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under Pennsylvania law that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If a dispute cannot be settled between us, it will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and both sides agree to those courts.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a significant change we will note it on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
