Prohibited Items

• Weapons: firearms, ammunition, parts of firearms, and replica or imitation firearms. Blades designed as weapons.
• Drugs: illegal drugs, controlled substances, prescription medication, and drug paraphernalia.
• Alcohol and tobacco: alcohol, tobacco products, vaping products and nicotine.
• Recalled items: anything subject to a product recall or a safety ban.
• Counterfeits: fake or replica branded goods, including imitation designer clothing, bags and watches.
• Animals: live animals of any kind, and any part of a protected or endangered species, including ivory and tortoiseshell.
• Adult content and services.
• Stolen goods, and anything you do not have the right to sell.
• Personal data and accounts: lists of names, addresses or emails, and login credentials.
• Hazardous materials: explosives, flammables, compressed gas, asbestos, and lead paint in a form that is not safely contained.
• Medical devices, and anything that claims to diagnose, treat or cure.
• Lottery tickets, gift cards, and other financial instruments.

These are not banned outright, but describe them fully and honestly, and do not list them if they are unsafe to use:

• Vintage electricals and lamps. Tell buyers that the wiring is untested and should be checked by an electrician.
• Childhood items: cribs, car seats and other safety equipment made before current safety standards.
• Paints, solvents and garden chemicals that are still sealed.
• Anything sharp, fragile or heavy enough to be a handling risk.

Our own listings follow the same rules. Everything we sell is local pickup in the Pittsburgh area, and any lamp or electrical piece is sold with its wiring untested.
